Getac Upgrades V100 and V200 Rugged Tablets

Getac is introducing the next generation of itsV100 and V200 fully rugged convertible tablets. Combined with Getac's earlier announcements about the new S400 and B300, the company's entire line of rugged notebooks now features third-generation Intel Core series processors.
Both the V100 and V200 can be configured with the third-generation 2.6GHz Intel Core i5-3320M (3.3GHz Turbo frequency) or 2.9GHz Core i7-3520M (3.6GHz Turbo frequency) processor with vPro technology. This makes the V100 and V200 clock in at 251% and 177% faster, respectively, than did the previous generation. TheGetac V100 and V200 also incorporate the Intel HD Graphics 4000 for over four times the responsiveness versus the previous models.

In addition to faster processors and graphics, the V100 and V200 offer Getac's advanced QuadraClear sunlight-readable screen technology that allows clear views even in direct sunlight, and multi-touch pressure-sensitive screens allowing users to operate the tablets when wearing industrial gloves. Additionally, both models can now be configured with integrated 4G LTE communication for fast communication in the field.
The Getac V100 and V200 rugged convertibles both feature magnesium-alloy designs which are MIL-STD 810G and IP65 certified, guaranteeing the computer's resistance to shocks, vibration and drops, and maintaining operational consistency in extreme temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).

The V100 and V200 rugged convertibles are backed by a 5-year, bumper-to-bumper warranty that includes coverage for damage that occurs due to accidents and environmental exposure. The new V100 and V200 are available for order starting today through Getac-authorized resellers.
