Apple iPad and iPad Mini"We believe that Apple is targeting total iPad shipments of 100 million in 2013, half accounted for by the iPad mini, and 40 million new iPad and 10 million iPad 2," wrote David Hsieh from DisplaySearch.
The company goes on to predict that the 2013 tablet PC shipments will be over 170 million, and Apple will continue to dominate the market with an approximately 60% share.
An Oldie, But a Goodie
Even though the iPad 2 came out in 2011, it is still selling well, fitting in between Apple's 7.9 and 9.7-inch tablets in price.
Apple is going to ship about 70 million full-size iPads this year, with 23 million of these being the iPad 2. It is cutting a bit into demand for the new iPad, according to DisplaySearch.
