Gmail app for iOS faces bug; sends duplicate mails

The Gmail app for iOS is facing a bug - it sends out a duplicate mail after the original mail has already been sent.

Google says that it is aware of the duplicate mail-sending bug on the iOS Gmail app and is working on a fix. The bug seems to be limited to the Gmail iOS app and not the native mail app on iOS.
Recently Google updated the Gmail iOS app with a cleaner look and support for multiple accounts. Apart from the cleaner look and multiple accounts support, Google has brought in a number of new features to the app that make it easier to use. Messages now display a contact's profile image on Google+. The details of each contact participating in a group chat is shown immediately.
The updated app allows users to RSVP to Google Calendar invites and +1 and comment on Google+ posts directly from the app. The inbox scrolls infinitely as you swipe through your inbox, which is considered to be a major improvement on loading it screen by screen. .
If you haven’t, you can check out the Gmail app for iOS here. If you are a user of the app, we would like to hear if you too are facing the same problem with the app. Let us know in the comment section below.
