Original Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX Getting Android 4.1

Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners appear to have a gift on the way this holiday season.
Starting on Christmas Eve, there have been reports of users pulling down an OTA (Over The Air) update for Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) for both the Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX.
While the rather large update (around 300MB or so) may be seen as a Christmas gift to some, others will be less than satisfied with the reported long load times.
The Android 4.1.2 update will bring new features like Google Now, expandable notifications, and project butler to the OS. However, there are also reports of users receiving additional tweaks from Motorola. According to Phandroid Motorola has also tweaked its users interface to make it light weight and aesthetically pleasing.
The update is currently being offered over the air, so Verizon customers with one of these models should be sure to check their Settings menu to see if they can install it.
Motorola has yet to make a statement, and there is no word if we can expect the original Droid RAZR or Droid RAZR MAXX to see Android 4.2 in the future.
