The AMD Radeon HD 8000M-series made its unofficial debut yesterday, when the Vivobook (which contains an AMD Radeon HD 8550M) was made available for pre-purchase on several German eRetailers.
Following up on the leak, AMD has officially announced that the VivoBook U38DT, will indeed ship with a Trinity APU, equipped with a Radeon HD 8555M GPU.
Additionally the chipmaker officially announced the entire line of AMD Radeon HD 8000M-series GPUs including, the 8500M, 8600M, 8700M, and 8800M; all of which will offer AMD's latest 27nm Graphics Core Gen (GCN) architecture. Basically this means each of the 8000M-series are compatible with Direct X 11.1 and will offer power saving features such as ZeroCore and PowerTune, features that only the top-end of 7000M-series chips could boast.
Yesterday, AMD announced that its 8800M-Series GPUs are expected to be available in units starting as early as Q1 of 2013, with its top-tier 8800M and 8900M (which has yet to be revealed) likely to showcase sometime in Q2 of 2013.
